Lenovo releases new 15-inch gaming laptop ahead of schedule with Intel Panther Lake and 165 Hz display

Lenovo has released a new 15-inch gaming laptop a month earlier than expected. Now available in Europe, the LOQ Essential 15IPH11 combines Intel's Panther Lake platform with a 165 Hz display and fast 8,533 MT/s or 9,600 MT/s RAM.

Yesterday, we reported that Lenovo had released the LOQ Essential 15IRH11 a month ahead of schedule in Europe. Not only that, but the 15.3-inch gaming laptop arrived for at least €100 less than Lenovo had previously suggested. Now, Lenovo has also started selling the LOQ Essential 15IPH11 ahead of schedule. To recap, the company claimed that the laptop would reach Europe at the end of September alongside the LOQ Essential 15IRH11. Specifically, the LOQ Essential 15IPH11 is now available in Austria, Germany, Italy, Spain and the UK.

However, the laptop is more expensive than Lenovo's claimed €1,599 MSRP. At the time of writing, the laptop starts at between €1,649 and €1,679 (~$1,915-$1,950) in the Eurozone. Removing a Windows licence and single-zone RGB backlit does reduce launch pricing to as low as €1,539, though. Meanwhile, the LOQ Essential 15IPH11 has debuted in the UK for £1,399 (~$1,895), or £1,290 (~$1,747) after removing the laptop's 135 W charger and Windows 11 licence.

Setting pricing aside, the new 15-inch gaming laptop combines an Intel Core Ultra X7 358H processor with 16 GB of LPDDR5X-8533 or LPDDR5X-9600 RAM and 512 GB or 1 TB of M.2 2242 storage. Lenovo has settled for just the Arc B390 iGPU though, which will see the LOQ Essential 15IPH11 trail the LOQ Essential 15IRX11 in games (curr. $1,349 on Amazon).

Moreover, the LOQ Essential 15IPH11 contains a 60 Wh battery and a 1200p IPS display. As we have discussed previously, this battery is rated to last up to 19 hours when streaming locally-stored 1080p videos at 150 nits. Meanwhile, Lenovo's IPS display combines a 165 Hz refresh rate with 300 nits peak brightness, an anti-glare coating and 100% sRGB colour space coverage. Please see Lenovo's website for more details.
