Asus releases new 14-inch laptop internationally with Snapdragon X and 30 hours of battery life
A few months have passed since Asus updated its Zenbook 14 range with multiple new models. Unveiled in June, the new Zenbook 14 was one of many laptops that the company brought to Computex 2026 in Taipei.
Initially, Asus refrained from confirming when any of these new 14-inch laptops would be available. Nonetheless, the company started selling Snapdragon X-based models earlier this month in China. Now, that same laptop is available internationally, starting with 8 GB of RAM, a choice of three colours and the following hardware:
- 14-inch OLED, 1,920 x 1,200 pixels, 60 Hz refresh rate, 100% DCI-P3 colour space coverage
- Qualcomm Snapdragon X (X1-26-100) - 8-core processor
- LPDDR5X RAM & M.2 2280 PCIe 4.0 SSD
- Bluetooth 5.3/Wi-Fi 6E connectivity
- 50 Wh (3-cell) battery & 68 W charging
For some reason, Asus has elected against also selling the Snapdragon X Plus (X1P-42-100) with which the older Zenbook A14 is also available (curr. $839 on Amazon). With that being said, the Snapdragon X (X1-26-100) is said to help the laptop deliver 30 hours of battery life when playing locally stored videos and up to 18 hours of battery life when web browsing.
The new Zenbook 14 (UX3480QA) starts at £799 in the UK and €799-€899 in the Eurozone with 8 GB of RAM and 256 GB of storage. Alternatively, the laptop can be purchased with 16 GB of RAM and 256 GB of storage in the Eurozone for €899-€1,199. Meanwhile, the UK has received a 16 GB of RAM and 512 GB storage SKU for £1,199, as has the UAE for AED 4,999 (~$1,361).
Pricing and availability for other markets remain unknown for now. However, Asus has already listed the Zenbook 14 (UX3480QA) in Canada, Germany and the US. Please see Asus' website and our launch article for more details about the Zenbook 14 (UX3480QA).
