Asus releases lightweight Zenbook with 2.8K 120 Hz OLED and up to 21-hour battery life

Asus has released a new Snapdragon-powered version of its 14-inch Zenbook in China. The model was first introduced alongside the Intel- and AMD-powered versions at Computex 2026.
The laptop is equipped with Qualcomm's Snapdragon X X1-26-100 processor and integrated Adreno graphics. Its Hexagon NPU can deliver up to 45 TOPS of AI performance, while the processor reaches up to 2.97 GHz. The new configuration comes with 16 GB of LPDDR5X RAM and a 512 GB PCIe 4.0 SSD.
In our comparison, the Snapdragon X X1-26-100 delivers around 85% of the average performance of the Snapdragon X Plus X1P-64-100. The Snapdragon X has eight cores and eight threads, compared with 10 cores and 12 threads on the X Plus, with the difference more noticeable in some multi-core workloads.
The 14-inch OLED display offers a 2,880 x 1,800 resolution and a 120 Hz refresh rate. It reaches 500 nits of typical brightness and up to 1,100 nits in HDR mode, while covering 100% of the DCI-P3 color space. The panel also carries VESA DisplayHDR True Black 1000 certification.
A 1.7 mm key travel keyboard is included. At 1.1 kg, the laptop is slightly heavier than the 980-gram Asus Zenbook A14, which we reviewed last year, while its 50 Wh battery is also smaller than the A14's 70 Wh unit (available on Amazon). Asus advertises up to 21 hours of battery life for the Zenbook 14 family.
For connectivity, the Zenbook 14 has one USB-A port, two USB-C ports, HDMI 2.1 and a 3.5 mm audio jack. The USB-C ports support data transfer speeds of up to 10 Gbps, while the USB-A port supports up to 5 Gbps.
Asus has also listed the Snapdragon Zenbook 14 on its international websites under the UX3480QA model number, while the China configuration carries the UX3480Q model number. Different configurations are offered depending on the market. The new configuration is currently available in China for CNY 7,999 (around $1,189), while Asus has not yet announced its international release.
