Intel Panther Lake-powered Asus ZenBook 14 with OLED display gets more CPU options

Asus is expanding the availability of the ZenBook 14 powered by the Intel Panther Lake. It has launched in China, but with two CPU configurations that were not introduced at the Computex 2026 launch.

Specifically, at the initial unveiling, this Panther Lake laptop was available with an Intel Core Ultra 9 386H processor, but in China, the ZenBook 14 has two launch options available. One of them features the Intel Core Ultra 5 325, while the other has the Core Ultra 7 355.

It seems these two configurations aren't limited to China, as Asus's global website lists the Zenbook 14 UX3480 with three configurations. Among the three, there's the Core Ultra 9 386H, which was already introduced, the Ultra 7 355, and the Ultra 5 325. However, none of them appear to be available for purchase yet.

In China, the configuration with the Core Ultra 7 365 costs CNY 8,999, about $1,339, while the Ultra 5 325 is retailing for CNY 7,999, around $1,189. Both ship with 16GB of LPDDR5X RAM and a 1TB SSD (Lexar 2TB NM1090 Pro curr. $349.99 on Amazon).

It's worth noting that neither of the two features a capable iGPU, and the case is pretty much the same for the Core Ultra 9 386H config. That top-end configuration also misses out on the capable Arc B390 that some of the processors within the Panther Lake lineup come with.

On the bright side, there's one Thunderbolt 4 port available, which brings eGPU support. The 14-inch OLED display is another highlight, and Asus is offering the option to equip the laptop with up to a 3K panel (2880x1800) with a 1,100 nits peak brightness rating, Display HDR True Black 700 certification, and 120Hz refresh rate.
