Affordable AMD-powered Aoostar mini PC launches with eGPU support

Aoostar has introduced the Maco-L 7735U, a brand-new mini PC with a relatively affordable launch price in China. As the name gives away, it's powered by the AMD Ryzen 7 7735U.

It's a Zen 3+ APU from the Rambrandt-U refresh lineup, and it brings the Radeon 680M, which isn't the most capable iGPU out there, but it can still handle some games at 1080p resolution. The good part is that the mini PC has an OCuLink port, bringing high-performance eGPU support.

There are USB4 ports available as well, which further expand the eGPU support. Speaking of the port configuration, here's a quick look at the selection:

With the HDMI, DisplayPort, and two USB4 ports, this affordable Aoostar mini PC gets quad-display output support. There's 100W PD support as well. Moving beyond the port configuration, the AMD APU can be paired with 24GB of LPDDR5 RAM, and while the memory is expandable, there are three PCIe 4.0x4 slots, and each should be capable of holding up to an 8TB SSD (Lexar 4TB NM790 curr. $499.99 on Amazon).

The company further highlights that the cooling setup inside is capable of keeping both the CPU and the installed drives in nominal temperatures without getting too loud. Other highlights include a built-in fingerprint sensor and a sleek chassis. There's no mention of Wi-Fi or Bluetooth, hinting that the mini PC doesn't come with a wireless card.

As for the price, the Aoostar Maco-L 7735U has an affordable launch price in China, starting at CNY 2,699, around $400. There's no word on the global launch yet, but the other mini PCs in the Maco lineup are already available internationally, so it's likely that the new model will be introduced for the markets outside China soon.
