The Aoostar Maco is a compact mini-PC with a silver aluminium housing, just like the Apple Mac mini. Equipped with USB4 and OCuLink ports, the Aoostar Maco is set for a global release after landing in China last month.

Aoostar is preparing to unleash a slew of new products globally after launching the TA95X3D MoDT motherboard earlier this month in China. As we have discussed separately, it seems that Aoostar is about to offer an Thunderbolt 5 and OCuLink eGPU globally. Moreover, the company's global website indicates that the Maco mini-PC is on the horizon, too.

While the EG01 is completely new, Aoostar has been selling the Maco in China since last month. For reference, the Aoostar Maco starts at CNY 1,999 (~$281) and be configured with either the Ryzen 7 Pro 8845HS or Ryzen 7 H 255. By the looks of Aoostar's website, it only plans to offer the Maco with the former globally.

Incidentally, the company already sells the Ryzen 7 Pro 8845HS inside the GEM12+ (curr. $359 on Amazon), which features 8 Zen 4 CPU cores and the familiar Radeon 780M iGPU. Likewise, the Maco and GEM12+ share similar ports, including USB4 and OCuLink. However, the Maco takes on a more Mac mini appearance with a repositioned OCuLink port. Also, the Maco contains a top-mounted fingerprint scanner, which sits within the device's power button. Full global pricing and availability remain unknown for now, though.
