Onlogic recently launched the Karbon 520 series of fanless rugged mini PCs with different form factors for industrial use cases. A top-tier solution from the new Karbon lineup that combines the largest form-factor available with Intel Core Ultra 100H (Meteor Lake) processors and desktop-grade SFF (small form-factor) Ada generation GPUs from Nvidia is the Karbon 524 model.
The chassis measures 106mm x 177mm x 225mm, weighs 3.77 kg and is made of steel with aluminium fins that act as heat radiators. Default configuration is fanless, but users can chooseto equip this model with more powerful SFF GPUs that are cooled with blower-style coolers. Speaking of SFF GPUs, Onlogic offers Nvidia RTX A400, A1000, A2000 Ada and A4000 Ada models on top of the existing integrated ARC graphics.
Processor options include the Core Ultra 5 125H, Core Ultra 5 135H and Core Ultra 7 165H. All processors get the Intel vPro features thanks to a couple of custom rugged 28 W motherboard designs. RAM capacities range from 8 GB up to 96 GB DDR5-5600 via two SO-DIMM slots, and there are options for Wide Temp (-40-95ºC) variants. There is a wide array of storage solutions, as well, with up to 8 TB total capacity via two M.2 slots.
