Even though there were a few reports in the past couple months stating that the RTX 50 Super series GPUs could arrive as early as end of 2025, that seems quite unlikely. A new leak has hinted at a “delay” which means a CES 2026 launch is more probable.

Nvidia launched the RTX 50 series GPUs in January this year and in the past, the Super series GPUs have followed at least a year after, if not more. The RTX 40 series was unveiled in September 2022 and the RTX 40 Super series arrived in January 2024. This time around, it was being speculated that the RTX 50 Super series may release in the same calendar year as the RTX 50 series, but that doesn’t seem to be the case anymore.

While Nvidia has not shared any information on the RTX 50 Super series, there have been a few leaks hinting at the specifications, pricing, and possible release date for these cards. It is believed that the series, at least at launch, will include the RTX 5070 Super, RTX 5070 Ti Super, and the RTX 5080 Super. Reports from late July and early August suggested that the upcoming cards will be released in Q4 2025 but now, a leaker with the username hongxing2020 on X has mentioned that the GPUs have been “delayed.”

While a delay doesn’t really make sense here since there was never an actual date associated with the launch, it does suggest that initial reports of a Q4 2025 launch were inaccurate. This means Nvidia will likely stick to CES 2026 for the reveal, as per the original overwhelming consensus.

As for the specifications, all three cards are expected to get more VRAM compared to their non-Super counterparts. The RTX 5070 Super, in particular, is expected to get a CUDA core bump as well, taking the core count from 6,144 to 6,400. The price, on the other hand, is expected to remain the same at $549 for the RTX 5070 Super and $749 for the RTX 5070 Ti Super. Of course, these are MSRPs and actual pricing, as we all know, tends to be all over the place. Notably, the final pricing could be different as this is all speculation at this point.
