Affordable 7Artisans 10 mm full-frame autofocus lens captures 185° field of view

7Artisans has introduced a new fisheye lens for full-frame cameras that offers a focal length of just 10 mm and, combined with the fisheye distortion, can capture a 185-degree field of view. As usual, photos can be corrected for distortion later if desired, though this does reduce image quality slightly.
Those who want to take advantage of the fisheye look can fully exploit it thanks to a minimum focus distance of just 15 centimeters, even when photographing smaller subjects such as plants or pets. Since a shallow depth of field can be achieved at this distance despite the ultra-wide focal length, it’s all the more convenient that the lens supports autofocus. A dedicated slider allows you to switch between autofocus and manual focus at any time.
Since the lens has a maximum aperture of f/2.5 and is relatively fast, it should be ideal for nighttime landscape photography with a visible starry sky. The lens, which is approximately 94 millimeters long and has a diameter of 76 millimeters, weighs 504 grams. The aluminum housing is weather-resistant. A USB-C port on the back allows for the installation of firmware updates. Due to the curved front lens, filters cannot be used.
