A new Insta360 X6 rival has launched globally. Featuring major upgrades over DJI's first 360-degree action camera, the Osmo 360 II supports 8K/60 FPS video capture, interchangeable lenses and improved video bitrate, among other changes from the Osmo 360.

DJI has finally launched its new 360-degree action camera globally. Released almost a month ago in China, the Osmo 360 II directly replaces the Osmo 360 that arrived in July 2025 (curr. $519 on Amazon). In summary, the Osmo 360 II contains around a dozen upgrades over its predecessor to rival the Insta360 X6.

Arguably, the most notable is interchangeable lens support. Missing from the Osmo 360 entirely, this change negates the need to use specialised tools when replacing scratched, cracked or broken lenses. Additionally, the Osmo 360 II can capture 360-degree videos in 8K at 60 FPS, up from 50 FPS on the Osmo 360. Similarly, DJI's new action camera can shoot 4K slow-motion videos at 120 FPS using a single lens and at 240 FPS when switching to both lenses.

On top of that, DJI's 1/1.1-inch camera sensors support 14.5 stops of dynamic range. Also, the Osmo 360 II includes a 10% larger battery than its predecessor. DJI complements this 2,150 mAh battery with a 220 Mbps video bitrate too, as well as NFC Quick Connect and a new magnetic mount design. Please see our original launch article for more differences between the Osmo 360 and Osmo 360 II.

The DJI Osmo 360 II starts at €589 in its Standard Combo form. Alternatively, one can pick up DJI's Adventure Combo for €739 with additional accessories. Moreover, DJI is selling a Lens Replacement Kit, Battery Extension Rod and a Heavy-Duty Clamp Mount Kit for €39, €99 and €49, respectively. By contrast, the company's Invisible Waterproof case will not be available until later this year.
