Godox LT1 adds pixel display to your camera or wrist for $34
The latest gadget from camera accessory specialist Godox allows photographers to add a dot-matrix display to their camera. Godox has integrated a series of RGB LEDs, which can be individually controlled as pixels, into a cube measuring just 4.8 x 3.7 x 2.7 centimeters and weighing 37 grams.
Thanks to a built-in NFC chip, the display can be paired with the corresponding smartphone app in a matter of seconds, allowing graphics or animations to be transmitted to the display via Bluetooth. Up to three Godox LT1s can be combined into a group, allowing each of the three users to control all screens within the group. According to Godox, the Pixel Display is useful, among other things, for displaying your own logo, a team identifier, or simply a funny graphic during a shoot.
The display can be turned on and off at any time using a button on the top. A single battery charge is said to be sufficient for just over three hours of use. Charging is done via USB-C, and the screen can be used while it’s charging. The Godox LT1 Creative Pixel Light can not only be mounted on a camera’s hot shoe, but can also be attached magnetically to a metal surface or worn on the wrist with a separately available wrist strap.
Pricing and availability
The Godox LT1 Creative Pixel Light will be available soon for a recommended retail price of $33.90. The gadget is already available on AliExpress, but at a higher price of $47.82. The wristband is sold separately for $5.90. More details about the gadget can be found on the Godox website.
