Samsung Galaxy S27 Pro leaks as a more compact Galaxy S27 Ultra

In 2027 there will be an intermediate model between the Galaxy S27+ and the Galaxy S27 Ultra for the first time. What leakers have been claiming for months is now evident for the first time in the form of renders, that were created by well-known French leaker Steve Hemmerstoffer, better known as @OnLeaks, based on what appears to be final CAD models.
Anyone who saw the images of the Galaxy S27 Ultra two days ago will notice the similarity in the camera design, which, in the eyes of many, brings Samsung a bit too close to the camera plateau design adopted by Apple last year. While the Galaxy S27 Ultra will have a similar size as the Galaxy S26 Ultra at about 6.9 inches, we expect the Galaxy S27 Pro to feature a 6.6 inch display, resulting in a significantly smaller body.
Dimensions and expected specs
The leaker provides the dimensions 154.06 x 73.77 x 7.95 mm, which means it is equally thick but 9 mm shorter and 5 mm narrower than the Ultra model, as the size comparison below demonstrates. Aside from the size, the most obvious difference between the Pro and Ultra is the absence of an S Pen slot. There are also likely to be some limited features, though the details are not yet known. For example, there have been references to both the Snapdragon 8 Elite Extreme Gen 6 and the Exynos 2700 for internatoonal models. It’s also quite likely that Samsung will include slightly scaled-back cameras here, for example, a 12-megapixel 3x telephoto instead of a 50-megapixel 5x telephoto. Instead of a 5,700 mAh battery like the one in the Galaxy S27 Ultra, a smaller 5,200 mAh battery is expected here, which would still be bigger than what you currently get in the Galaxy S26 Ultra.
