Samsung is expected to unveil its Galaxy S27 series of smartphones early next year. Rumors and leaks have suggested that there will be four phones in the lineup, with the Galaxy S27 Pro getting several of the Galaxy S27 Ultra’s features.

Back in June, it was reported that along with the Galaxy S27 Ultra, the Galaxy S27 Pro will also get the Privacy Display feature. However, a few weeks later, another report suggested that all four models in the lineup will be equipped with it. Now, a new report seems to back the earlier claim, which may come as disappointing news for fans of the cheaper variants.

Citing industry sources, ETNews reports that Samsung plans to equip the OLED panel for the Galaxy S27 Pro with its Flex Magic Pixel (FMP) technology. This is what enables the Privacy Display feature, and it will be present on the Galaxy S27 Ultra as well. The feature was first introduced with the Galaxy S26 Ultra (buy on Amazon).

The new report is in line with previous reports, at least as far as the Galaxy S27 Pro is concerned. As for the other two models, the Galaxy S27 and Galaxy S27 Plus, the report adds that Samsung wants to differentiate the Pro and Ultra variants from the lineup, indicating that only those two will get the Privacy Display feature.

Following the July report of all four phones getting the feature, this may be disappointing news for some. On the other hand, the Galaxy S27 Pro is shaping up to be an impressive package which, if Samsung prices correctly, can steal the show when the series launches early next year. The company is also said to be discussing the application of this technology into laptops.
