Samsung Galaxy S27 leaks in pictures without S27 Ultra’s new camera module
The Samsung Galaxy S27 Ultra was first seen in render images on Tuesday, and now the highly reliable leaker @OnLeaks has published the first photos of the Samsung Galaxy S27 on Android Headlines. The design is as predictable as it is disappointing, because, as a direct comparison with the Samsung Galaxy S26 ($799 on Amazon) shows, Samsung has made virtually no changes.
The significantly larger camera module, reminiscent of the Apple iPhone 17 Pro, appears to be reserved for the more expensive models in the Galaxy S27 series. The base model packs all three rear cameras into a pill-shaped camera module, just as before. And it seems there are no changes to the screen bezels, the flat metal frame, or the punch-hole camera either.
That’s a shame, because Samsung uses nearly the same design for some models in the Galaxy A series as well, so the Galaxy S27 looks just like some considerably cheaper smartphones. The device measures 149.75 x 71.88 x 7.25 millimeters, meaning it’s practically the same size as its direct predecessor. This suggests that Samsung is once again opting for a 6.3-inch display, which should make the Galaxy S27 one of the more compact smartphones on the market.
It’s important to note that the color shown has not yet been confirmed – the renderings are based on CAD models that do not contain any information about the final color. Samsung Galaxy S smartphones are typically unveiled in January or February, so it will likely be a few more months until the launch. Rumors suggest that the Galaxy S27 will feature a new processor, a larger 4,900 mAh silicon battery, and a camera upgrade with a Sony sensor.
