Realme unveils smartphone with 8,000 mAh and 6,500 nits for the equivalent of $369
The Realme P4s 5G is now official, and its exterior stands out from competing smartphones primarily thanks to its eye-catching colors, gray or turquoise, as well as its partially transparent camera module. Compared to the Realme P4 Lite ($535 on Amazon), the new P4s 5G offers several significant upgrades.
This starts with the 6.77-inch AMOLED display, which has a resolution of 2,772 x 1,272 pixels, a refresh rate of 144 Hz, and a peak HDR brightness of 6,500 nits, with 1,400 nits achievable across the entire screen. Realme has equipped the device with a massive 8,000 mAh battery, which is said to provide up to three days of battery life and can be charged via USB-C at up to 80 watts.
Despite its large battery, the IP69-certified and therefore waterproof smartphone is not particularly thick or heavy, measuring 8.6 millimeters and weighing 208 grams. The Realme P4s 5G is powered by a MediaTek Dimensity 7400. Realme has equipped it with a 50-megapixel f/1.8 main camera, an 8-megapixel f/2.2 ultra-wide-angle camera, and a 16-megapixel f/2.4 selfie camera. The Realme P4s 5G is expected to receive at least three major Android updates and security patches for four years.
Pricing and availability
The Realme P4s 5G will first launch in India, where the mid-range smartphone with 8 GB of RAM and 128 GB of flash storage will be offered for ₹34,999 INR ($369), the top-of-the-line model with 12 GB of RAM and 256 GB of storage costs ₹41,999 INR ($440). Realme has not yet confirmed any details regarding a launch in the rest of the world.
