Samsung Galaxy S27 said to launch earlier than expected, case leaks confirm design

After the Samsung Galaxy S26 ($617 on Amazon) was officially unveiled on February 25, 2026, it had been considered likely that the Galaxy S27 series would also target a February launch. However, leaker yeux1122 now says that Samsung is currently planning a January launch, although production delays could still push the launch event back to February. LPDDR6 RAM and UFS 5.0 flash storage are reportedly the main issues at present, as they are in short supply and available only at very high prices amid the DRAM crisis.
Meanwhile, leakers @UniverseIce and @Saurav_DJ147 have published new images of protective cases that once again reinforce the design differences between the four models in the Galaxy S27 series. As earlier case leaks have already suggested, two very different looks are expected for the Galaxy S27 series. The Galaxy S27 and Galaxy S27+ are said to retain the pill-shaped camera module of the current models, while the Galaxy S27 Pro and Galaxy S27 Ultra will use a large, rectangular camera module that is more reminiscent of the Apple iPhone 18 Pro (Max) than the Galaxy S26.
Rumors at least suggest that the old design will come with the old price, as price increases are reportedly planned only for the top models. The compact Galaxy S27 Pro, meanwhile, is said to launch at the same price as the Galaxy S26 Ultra, while the next-generation Ultra flagship will allegedly cost $100 more. Models with higher memory and storage capacities are likely to become more expensive in any case due to the DRAM crisis. As usual, such early rumors should be treated with caution, as Samsung's plans may still change before launch.
