Galaxy S27 series price leak brings good news, at least for two models

We’re about three months away from Samsung unveiling its Galaxy S27 series, and the rumor mill is churning. The latest leaks shed light on the pricing for all four phones, as well as the display technology that Samsung is expected to use. The price leak comes as good news, at least for base and Plus model shoppers.
Before moving to the actual leak, it’s worth noting that Schrodinger (phonefuturist) does not have a great track record. Besides being dismissed by a more reliable leaker, Ice Universe, about Galaxy S27 Ultra’s battery claims, Schrodinger’s past info about the Galaxy S26 and Galaxy Z Fold8 has been proven inaccurate. It should also be noted that these are targeted prices that are subject to change. With that said, the latest post on X claims the Galaxy S27 will start at $899, while the Plus model will start at $1,099.
This is the same as the launch price for the Galaxy S26 ($760 on Amazon) and Galaxy S26 Plus ($825 on Amazon), so it’s good to see that at least the lower-end models are not getting a price hike, despite the ongoing RAMpocalypse. As for the Galaxy S27 Pro and Ultra models, the leaker says they will start at $1,299 and $1,399, respectively. Notably, the Galaxy S26 Ultra ($950 on Amazon) launched at $1,299 but is now sitting at $1,400 (MSRP).
Furthermore, the post adds that the display technology will be split between the four phones. The Galaxy S27 and Plus model will come with the M14+ panel, while the Pro and Ultra will come with the latest M16 panel. The M16 panel is capable of higher brightness while being more efficient.
Samsung is expected to announce the Galaxy S27 lineup early next year, possibly in February, like the Galaxy S26 series and the Galaxy S25 series before it.
