Oppo's next generation of flagship phones, the Find X10 series, is on the way. New information indicates, however, that the base model device in the lineup will offer worse performance than its pricier siblings, thanks to Oppo's chipset choice.

Oppo is expected to launch its next-gen flagship phones soon, with the Find X10 and Find X10 Pro Max receiving certifications recently. The Oppo Find X10 Pro Max will rival devices like the Xiaomi 18 Pro Max, but the same may not hold true for the vanilla Find X10.

As seen on Geekbench, it appears the Oppo Find X10 is set to be powered by a last-gen chipset, and not one of the upcoming flagship SoCs from MediaTek or Qualcomm. The phone surfaced on the benchmark days ago, with the model designation "OPPO PMW110"—which is consistent with prior certifications for the Find X10—and a MediaTek Dimensity 9500 beneath the hood.

The core clock speeds shown are for the Dimensity 9500, and a look at the back end confirms that the chipset there is the "MT6993", with the listed GPU being the Dimensity 9500's Mali-G1-Ultra MC12

While the MediaTek Dimensity 9500 remains a standout performer, devices in the same class, such as the Xiaomi 18 and Galaxy S27, are expected to be powered by Qualcomm's upcoming Snapdragon 8 Elite Extreme Gen 6—or however it's ultimately branded. It must be said, though, that the Vivo X500 could walk the same path as the Find X10, likely opting for the Dimensity 9500 over the upcoming Dimensity 9600 Pro on its Pro and Pro Max siblings.
