MediaTek Dimensity 9600 Pro posts impressive CPU gains aboard Vivo X500 Pro Max in latest benchmarks

Qualcomm, Apple, and MediaTek will present their newest flagship chipsets later this month, following the unveiling of Xiaomi's Xring O3 last week. MediaTek's offering, the Dimensity 9600 Pro, will be adopted by flagships from Vivo and Oppo in short order, and has now made a trip over to Geekbench,
It must be noted that this isn't the first time the Dimensity 9600 Pro has been spotted on Geekbench. The chipset surfaced on the benchmark aboard the Vivo X500 Pro Max weeks ago and has now made a new appearance, albeit with vastly improved performance. In this run, the Dimensity 9600 Pro—with the model number "MT6995"—and Vivo X500 Pro Max earned a single-core score of 4,137 and a multi-core score of 12,751.
Both of those numbers are huge improvements on the 2,653 and 7,516 scores recorded on the earlier run. Compared to the Dimensity 9500, the Dimensity 9600 Pro appears to be around 30% more powerful on the CPU side, if this listing is anything to go by. It's admittedly unknown under what conditions this specific run happened, but the benchmark results appear feasible.
The listing also confirms the core configuration details of the Dimensity 9600 Pro: three cores at 3.10 GHz, three cores at 4.35 GHz, and two performance cores at 4.55 GHz—completely unchanged from the earlier benchmark listing. On the GPU side is ARM's Mali-G2-Ultra-NX MC12, with the test device also sporting 16 GB of RAM.
