Xiaomi has confirmed 7 September for its autumn flagship event in China, where it will launch the Xiaomi 18 Fold and Xiaomi Pad 9 Pro Max alongside three extended-range SUVs. Both devices debut the in-house 3nm Xring O3, a 10-core chip clocked to 4.35GHz with a 16-core G2-Ultra NX GPU that Xiaomi rates at 85% faster while drawing 64% less power.

Xiaomi has officially scheduled its autumn flagship product launch event for September 7 in China, where the company will unveil the Xiaomi 18 Fold and the Xiaomi Pad 9 Pro Max.

Both flagship devices will debut with the company's new in-house Xring O3 processor. Alongside the new smartphone and tablet, Xiaomi will also expand its automotive lineup by introducing the N70 Pro, N70 Max, and N90 Max electric vehicles under the Xiaomi Pengcheng brand.

The Xiaomi 18 Fold marks the company's first inward-folding smartphone to feature a wide aspect ratio design. It will also serve as the primary launch device for the Xring O3 chip. To maximize performance, engineers paired the proprietary 3-nanometer processor with LPDDR6 memory sourced from ChangXin Memory Technologies, effectively combining two Chinese-developed core components.

The 10-core Xring O3 processor reaches a maximum clock speed of 4.35GHz and includes a 16-core G2-Ultra NX graphics processing unit. According to the manufacturer, this updated graphics unit delivers an 85 percent performance improvement while cutting power consumption by 64 percent compared to the previous generation.

The Xiaomi Pad 9 Pro Max will also use the new Xring O3 silicon. Recent Geekbench benchmark listings under the model number M367FC show the tablet achieving 3,710 points in single-core testing and 14,319 points in multi-core performance. To support demanding workloads like video editing, drawing, and heavy multitasking, the tablet will reportedly feature a massive battery capacity exceeding 10,000 milliampere-hours, along with 120-watt fast wired charging.

Beyond the official announcements, Xiaomi has also uploaded a few short hands-on videos (shown below) to Weibo demonstrating the compact and wider form factor of the Xiaomi 18 Fold.

The real-world footage reveals dimensions that look more similar to the wide Huawei Pura X Max and much less like the narrower, taller footprint of the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 8.
