New Xiaomi smartwatch with 1,500-nit AMOLED display reaches additional markets

Xiaomi has released one of its new budget smartwatches in more markets. Now officially sold in over half a dozen more countries, the Redmi Watch 6 Lite contains a large AMOLED display, access to over 150 sports modes and up to 18 days of battery life.

At the end of last month, we spotted that Xiaomi had started selling the Redmi Watch 6 Lite in selected European markets (curr. $64 on Amazon). At the time, the Redmi Watch 6 Lite was only officially available in Poland. However, the smartwatch could be purchased from third parties in Germany, too.

Now, the Redmi Watch 6 Lite has reached over half a dozen more countries. Specifically, the smartwatch is now available in Australia, Czechia, Korea, Japan, Malaysia, Romania, Sweden, Singapore and Turkey. At the same time, Xiaomi has listed the Redmi Watch 6 Lite on its global website to indicate that a global launch is on the cards, too.

The Redmi Watch 6 Lite centres around a 1.96-inch AMOLED display. Resolving at 410 x 502 pixels with a 332 PPI pixel density, the squircle-shaped display also boasts up to 1,500 nits peak brightness. Moreover, the smartwatch is said to last up to 18 days of light use on its 470 mAh battery. On top of that, Xiaomi has included built-in GNSS location services, Bluetooth 5.3 connectivity and a heart rate sensor that can also monitor blood oxygen levels.

The Redmi Watch 6 Lite retails for AUD 99.50, CZK 1,549, KRW 84,800, JPY 6,980, MYR 9,999, RON 369, SEK 899, SGD 79.90 and TRY 4,399 (~$91) in Australia, Czechia, Korea, Japan, Malaysia, Romania, Sweden, Singapore and Turkey, respectively.
