Huawei Watch D3: Teaser video reveals thinner blood pressure monitor with a larger display
In the smartwatch sector, Huawei remains a major player in some global markets like Europe, most likely because the absence of Google services is not an issue here. Some of the Huawei smartwatches running HarmonyOS will be updated in early September 2026, as was already officially confirmed. In addition to the global Huawei Watch GT7 (Pro) and the Huawei Watch 6, the Huawei Watch D3 is also on the horizon; all of which will be officially unveiled during a launch event in Munich, Germany on September 2.
While the Watch and Watch GT series consist of classic smartwatches for athletes and fitness enthusiasts, the Watch D has always focused on a key health feature. Thanks to an inflatable cuff on the wrist, it is can measure blood pressure readings with high reliability, provided that users follow the instructions when taking a reading. A teaser video now shows how the new Huawei smartwatch will change in 2026.
Huawei Watch D3 gets thinner; display bezels shrink
In addition to new color combinations, the Watch D3 will offer a slimmer case and a larger display, thanks to shrinking bezels, as the video above shows. Huawei is also promoting more comfortable wristbands than those previously available for the Watch D2. It remains to be seen whether there will be other new features, such as new software features. At the launch in Munich, there will be new earbuds in addition to the new smartwatches, as another teaser video shows. They’re called FreeBuds Neo and will apparently come in several colors.
