Divinum is a brand-new hack-and-slash metroidvania from Sigil Games. It arrived on 29 August on Steam for Windows and macOS with a 10% introductory discount. Early reviews are currently "Very Positive" at 91%.

Divinum is now out on Steam as of 29 August 2026, developed and self-published by Sigil Games. The game's launch follows a development run that saw its date move more than once — previous targets of October 2025 and February 2026 were both exceeded. You can now finally pick the game up with a 10% introductory discount, which runs until 11 September. A 10% introductory discount brings it from $14.99 to $13.49 until 11 September.

Players control Fjør, who is a young warrior born under the Fate of the Guardian, defending a quiet northern island from invaders. The map is both above and below ground through caves, forests, catacombs and ruins.

This metroidvania, like many others, is designed around combat. Enemies can be launched into the air, where they can neither act nor escape while Fjør gains access to moves available only mid-air. Two distinct primary weapons feature separate move pools — you also get special skills, dodges, blocks and parries.

Progression is taken care of by runes recovered from exploration and boss fights. Divinum's store page is pointed about the design philosophy, explicitly rejecting flat percentage upgrades in favor of modifiers that change how combat plays out — one example, Wrath, gives hits a chance to chain lightning to nearby enemies on a one-second cooldown. The store page also states that stronger Runes tend to have bigger trade-offs.

Since the game is not even a day old as of writing, it has only 71 reviews — however, the rating aggregate is sitting at 90%.

The requirements are extremely accessible — the minimum asks for a Core i3-6100 or Ryzen 3 1200, 4 GB of RAM, and either a GTX 560 Ti or Intel Iris Xe — the integrated option is listed outright. Storage is 1 GB. The macOS build supports Apple Silicon, and a separate Mac demo is available as well. Recommended requirements are left blank on both platforms.

Divinum is single-player, with Steam Achievements, Cloud saves and nine languages covering interface and subtitles.
