The unreleased Vivo X500 appears in hands-on photos as imported stock reaches Vietnam
A sealed retail unit of the Vivo X500 has reportedly turned up in Vietnam more than a week before Vivo's official September 21 launch event in China, according to a post shared by an importer of Chinese phones in a Vietnamese Vivo community Facebook group.
The post from user Lee Quyết shows a sealed X500 retail box alongside a follow-up photo in the comment section showing the phone's rear camera module, which matches an earlier leak: a large circular camera island offset toward the left side of the back panel and sitting on a plateau, with the flash unit mounted separately to its right, just like the iPhone 17 Pro. It houses what appears to be a periscope telephoto opening alongside the ultrawide and main lenses.
The sighting comes after Vivo confirmed most of the X500 series' headline camera specifications. The standard X500 is set to use a 1/1.28-inch main sensor, the same Sony LYT-828 found in the X300 Pro alongside a 64MP Lytia-610 telephoto camera with CIPA 5.5 stabilization. It will also support 4K120 video.
Vivo has not announced international or grey-market availability ahead of the confirmed September 21 launch in China, when pricing and ordering details will also be announced.
