Vivo X500 Pro (Max) global prices, storage options and colors leaked: Zeiss camera flagships are getting quite expensive too

In China, the Vivo X500 Pro Max launched alongside the now considerably smaller Vivo X500 Pro and the cheaper Vivo X500 back on September 21. Thanks to RAMageddon even Chinese prices were higher than last year, which naturally also contributed to higher import prices compared with last year. Similar to the leaked European pricing for the Oppo Find X10 series a few weeks ago, however, the price increase in Europe is considerably steeper.
We learned this a few hours ago thanks to research by WinFuture editor and leaker Roland Quandt, who revealed the European prices, storage options and planned colors for the global Vivo X500 series on Bluesky. Whether these turn out to be accurate remains to be seen, of course; the European Vivo X500 launch will take place on October 27. According to the leak, the base Vivo X500 will not get a global release. Instead, only the 6.36-inch Vivo X500 Pro and the 6.85-inch Vivo X500 Pro Max will be available as official EU models.
Vivo X500 Pro Max
The latter is therefore the direct successor to last year's Vivo X300 Pro and is expected to cost €1,799 (US$2017) with 12 GB of RAM and 512 GB of storage, exactly the same as the European Oppo Find X10 Pro Max. The comparison with its predecessor is frustrating. The Vivo X300 Pro launched at €1,399 (US$1568) RRP and still had 16 GB of RAM. Europe will get the Moonlight Black and Starry Gray colors, meaning the lighter white and orange options will only be available through imports. Including the camera kit, Vivo is reportedly asking €1,999 (US$ 2,241) for the Pro Max version putting it at the Vivo X300 Ultra's recommended retail price level.
Vivo X500 Pro
Those who prefer the smaller Zeiss camera flagship will also have to spend quite a bit more in 2027. According to the leak, there will only be one model with 12 GB of RAM and 256 GB of storage, priced at €1,399 (US$1,568) and availability in Moonlight Black and Sunny White. There is no direct comparison with a predecessor here. The similarly sized but less powerful Vivo X300 launched with a recommended retail price of €1,049.
Launch discount
As with Oppo, discounts and possibly some preorder deals can be expected for the global launch; Vivo has already officially announced at least one: Those who register now can save €120 at launch, which is not exactly a lot considering the year-over-year price increase of €400. Global versions released in other parts of the world like India might be very different to these European prices as well.
