Deal | Lowest price ever: One of the best action-adventure spy games is 40% off on Steam

007 First Light was released earlier this year in May, bringing players a new action-adventure game based on the iconic James Bond franchise. The game comes from IO Interactive, the same developer behind the popular Hitman series. And if you've been planning to try the new spy adventure but were waiting for a decent price drop, now might be a good time to grab it.

If you head over to Steam, you'll currently find 007 First Light available with a massive 40% discount. Thanks to the deal, which is available until October 22, you can grab the game for $41.99 instead of its regular $69.99 price. According to its price history on SteamDB, this is also the lowest price the game has dropped to on the platform so far.

As for the game itself, 007 First Light tells a standalone origin story focused on a younger James Bond. Instead of starting as the experienced agent everyone knows, Bond is still a resourceful and sometimes reckless recruit going through MI6's training program. The story follows the events that eventually lead him to become Agent 007.

Throughout the campaign, you'll travel to different locations, drive iconic vehicles, and hunt down a rogue agent. Missions can also be approached in different ways. You can quietly infiltrate areas using gadgets and deception, or take a more direct approach using hand-to-hand combat and weapons. You can also unlock new outfits, weapons, skins, and gadget upgrades.

That said, it’s important to note that the Standard Edition is available at a discount. The Deluxe Edition, which comes packed with extra content, is still listed at its original $79.99 price. However, for those who already own the base game, or will, the Deluxe Edition upgrade is available with a 40% discount as well, bringing it down to $11.99.
