007 First Light launched with Denuvo anti-tamper, which disappointed a lot of players. However, according to the game's change history on SteamDB, the DRM has now been removed.

007 First Light launched in May this year, letting players experience the early days of James Bond. The game received mainly positive reviews from both critics and players, and it currently holds a Very Positive rating on Steam. However, one thing that disappointed many fans at launch was the inclusion of Denuvo anti-tamper, a form of DRM that has long been controversial among PC gamers. But it seems that this has now changed.

According to the game's SteamDB page, the latest change history shows that Denuvo anti-tamper was removed today. This means the DRM is no longer included with the Steam version of 007 First Light.

This is great news for players who avoided buying the game because of Denuvo. While developers often use the software to help protect games from piracy during their launch window, many PC gamers prefer titles without it due to concerns over DRM restrictions and the possibility of performance issues.

For those unfamiliar, the announcement that 007 First Light would include Denuvo came as a surprise because it was revealed just six days before launch. By then, many players had already pre-ordered the game. After the announcement, some even considered canceling their pre-orders, as they were worried that Denuvo could affect performance or introduce other DRM-related restrictions. But now that the DRM has been removed, players who were waiting for a Denuvo-free version no longer have to hold off.
