Honor is set to launch the Magic 9 series in China on September 28, 2026. The series is expected to include multiple models, including the standard Magic 9 and the Magic 9 Pro Max. Now, a new leak has shed light on key specifications of the standard model.
According to tipster Digital Chat Station on Weibo, the Magic 9 will feature a 6.37-inch flat display with a "1.5K" resolution. It is said to feature a 200MP main camera with a 1/1.4-inch sensor, a 50MP ultrawide camera, and a 200MP periscope telephoto camera using a 1/1.56-inch sensor. For comparison, the previous-generation Honor Magic 8 (curr. $662.45 on TradingShenzhen) features a 50MP primary camera, a 64MP telephoto camera, and a 50MP ultrawide camera.
The leak also suggests that the phone will pack an 8,000mAh-class battery and feature an ultrasonic fingerprint scanner. The tipster previously suggested that the Magic 9 would retain its predecessor’s Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset. Meanwhile, the Magic 9 Pro Max is expected to feature the next-generation Snapdragon 8 Elite Extreme Gen 6 chipset.
