The new Honor MagicPad 4 has been officially revealed. Set to launch alongside the Magic 9 series, it's now confirmed to feature a 12.1-inch display that sports a 165Hz refresh rate. It will be available with up to 12GB of RAM and 256GB of storage.

Honor will hold a big launch event on September 28, 2026, in China, where the brand will release the Magic 9 series and a new tablet. This new pad was recently teased, and now, the company has officially revealed it.

Called the MagicPad 4 12.1, it's confirmed to feature a 12.1-inch display, making it slightly smaller than the 12.3-inch tablet that the brand has released earlier in 2026. While it has a slightly smaller screen, the upcoming pad retains the 165Hz refresh rate, though Honor didn't confirm whether it's an OLED panel.

Recent leaks have, however, hinted that it will be an LCD display, and that would be a downgrade over the 12.3-inch MagicPad 4, which comes with an OLED screen. Nonetheless, with the latest announcement, Honor has revealed that the upcoming tablet is powered by the Snapdragon 8s Gen 4, which is an upper-mid-range SoC.

This choice of SoC, combined with the leaks pointing to the tablet featuring an LCD display, suggests that the MagicPad 4 12.1 will be more affordable than the 12.3-inch version. Honor has also confirmed that the tablet will feature a large battery.

Specifically, it will be packing a 10,100mAh battery, the same as the 12.3-inch MagicPad 4. There's stylus support (Lenovo Digital Pen 2 curr. $36.99 on Amazon), and the tablet has support for "PC-level" apps, promising enhanced productivity. The tablet is set to be available with up to 12GB of RAM and 256GB of storage.

Other details of the tablet are under wraps, but the good news is that the launch event isn't far off. Honor is also expected to release the Magic 9 phones and the new MagicPad 4 tablet outside the Chinese market soon after their initial debut.
