Atelier Karia: The Night Kingdom & the Guide of Memories launches Feb 25, 2027

Koei Tecmo and Gust have set a release date for Atelier Karia: The Night Kingdom & the Guide of Memories: February 25, 2027, for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, Nintendo Switch 2, and PC via Steam, all on the same day. It's the 27th mainline entry in the Atelier series, and it follows amnesiac protagonist Karia into a buried world beneath Aladiss, built around a new item-eating mechanic that reshapes her abilities and her alchemy.

Underground world, style changes, and colossal battles

The story picks up two years after Atelier Yumia. A phenomenon called mana withering is draining Aladiss, and while chasing it down, Karia and researcher Servio stumble onto Subterranea, a vast cavern lit by a mechanical artificial sun. It's here Karia discovers she has a knack for alchemy, along with a strange ability to eat and analyze almost anything she finds.

Eating Echo Crystals and cooked dishes gives Karia stat boosts, opens up new field actions, and unlocks more than eight style changes. Ignis, for example, channels fire for extra offense but weakens her defense; other styles trade combat power for new movement options, like walking on water. Colossal enemies get their own multi-phase fights, splitting the party into a Frontline Team that engages directly and an Assault Team that works the battlefield's structures to grind down an enemy morale gauge.

Revamped synthesis and launch details

Synthesis has been reworked around mana pieces: players connect pieces pulled from ingredients across a recipe map to shift item traits or unlock new transformations entirely. The same items double as tools out in the field, letting Karia throw them to pull in ingredients, clear obstacles, or hit enemies from range.

Pre-ordering the standard edition nets the Noctrem Pioneering Preparation Set, a costume plus training badge equipment. A separate Premium Box, sold through the NIS America store, adds an artbook, a bonus soundtrack CD, nine A4 posters, and costume DLC.
