Lara Croft and the Temple of Osiris coming to mobile

Feral Interactive has officially announced that Lara Croft and the Temple of Osiris, the isometric action-adventure spin-off from Crystal Dynamics, will launch on iOS and Android on September 8, 2026. Following Feral's previous mobile adaptation of Lara Croft and the Guardian of Light, this release brings the console and PC experience to mobile screens with adapted touch features.

Try-before-you-buy pricing and mobile features

In a departure from typical mobile free-to-play models, Lara Croft and the Temple of Osiris uses a try-before-you-buy structure. Players can download the game for free and complete the entire first level without paying. Continuing past that point requires a single, one-time in-app purchase of $9.99 / €8.99 / £7.49, which unlocks the full story campaign and all DLC packs with no microtransactions or timers.

Feral has adapted the controls for handheld hardware, offering customizable touchscreen controls for twin-stick shooting and platforming, alongside full support for physical gamepads and mice and keyboards. On iOS, the game requires iOS 18 or later, while Android needs Android 13 or above, with a minimum of 3.6GB of free storage on both platforms.

Four-player co-op and ancient Egyptian tomb raiding

Set among cursed pyramids and ancient ruins, the story follows Lara Croft joining forces with rival tomb raider Carter Bell and the imprisoned Egyptian deities Isis and Horus. Together, the four must retrieve the scattered Fragments of Osiris to stop Set, the God of Chaos, from enslaving humanity.

The gameplay is a combination of fast-paced combat against hordes of undead enemies with physics-based environmental puzzles and trap-laden platforming. Players can go it alone or team up with up to three friends via online and local wireless co-op. Along the way, Lara can swap her signature dual pistols for shotguns, machine guns, and flamethrowers while equipping stat-boosting rings and artifacts to customize her loadout.
