The numbers give an early look at what to expect on launch day for Insomniac's next Marvel outing, a standalone action-adventure title built around Wolverine rather than Spider-Man.
Pre-load schedule and performance targets
Digital pre-loads for Marvel's Wolverine open on September 8, 2026, at midnight local time, giving players a full week to download the game before its September 15 release on PlayStation 5 and PlayStation 5 Pro. The standard edition is priced at 69.99 US dollars. The 79.36 GB figure is smaller than the roughly 88 GB required by Marvel's Spider-Man 2 at launch, despite Wolverine trading that game's open-world design for a more linear, narrative-driven structure.
Reports suggest the size still reflects detailed environments spanning the Canadian wilderness, the high and low districts of Madripoor, and Shinjuku, as Logan's journey moves between those settings over the course of the story. Insomniac has confirmed the game will run at 60 frames per second with ray tracing enabled on standard PS5 consoles, without requiring the more powerful PS5 Pro hardware to hit that target.
