Kingdom Rush 6: Genesis TD release date and demo revealed

Ironhide Game Studio has confirmed that Kingdom Rush 6: Genesis TD, the sixth mainline entry in its long-running tower defense series, launches globally on September 24, 2026. The game arrives on iOS, Android, and PC via Steam. It serves as a prequel, sending players back to the early days of Linirea to stop a young Vez'nan before his corruption takes hold of the realm.
A prequel story and dual-hero combat
The campaign spans three landscapes across Linirea and 18 handcrafted stages, each built around its own hazards and enemy wave patterns. Rather than commanding a single champion, players field two heroes per stage, pairing active abilities, passive buffs, and ultimate attacks to build combinations suited to aggressive, defensive, or ranged playstyles. Ironhide carries over the series' tactical depth and lighthearted humor while giving towers, heroes, and spells their own individual upgrade trees for the first time.
Towers, spells, and a bigger bestiary
Defenders have 15 upgradeable towers to work with, each carrying specialized skill paths and synergies with other tower types. Nine equippable spells can be triggered mid-battle to break up tough waves or turn a losing fight around. Opposing them are more than 40 enemy types spread across five hostile races, including armored units, flying threats, and stealthy attackers, building toward six large-scale boss encounters. The full game also includes five difficulty modes, over 50 Steam and mobile achievements, hidden Easter eggs, and lore content covering the origins of familiar heroes and artifacts.
Release, pre-orders, and demo access
Pre-registration is open now on the App Store and Google Play, with early sign-ups unlocking launch rewards. PC players can wishlist the game on Steam, where a free demo is already live, covering four of the 18 campaign stages, two heroes, five towers, three spells, and the Iron mode difficulty setting. The full release goes live everywhere on September 24, 2026.
