Wuthering Waves confirms Hsin as game's first playable Sentinel

Kuro Games has confirmed Hsin as an upcoming 5-star Resonator, revealing her through official drip marketing as the first playable Sentinel in Wuthering Waves. Sentinels are guardian beings tied to each of Huanglong's seven provinces, and until now none had been directly playable. Known as "the Moon Fox" and the guardian sentinel of Mengzhou, Hsin marks a milestone for the roster. Earlier Resonators such as Jinhsi channelled a Sentinel's power without being the Sentinel itself, since Jinhsi draws on Jué's abilities as his appointed Resonator. Hsin instead fights as the Sentinel directly, a first for the game.

Hsin was among six Huanglong Resonators teased back in June as part of the ongoing Mengzhou story arc, alongside SuiSui, Qingxiao, Jingran, Yangyang Xuanling, and Suoming. Her dedicated reveal on 26 August, delivered through Kuro's Post-Lament Anthropocene archive series, confirmed her rarity, sentinel status, and resonance power.

Fractal Proliferation power and Mengzhou lore

Kuro's reveal detailed Hsin's resonance power, called Fractal Proliferation, which lets her split a single entity into multiple linked fractal forms. Each form keeps its own perception and consciousness while remaining tethered to the source and sharing sensation across every copy, with the forms able to converge back into one. In the game's lore, Hsin is credited with building Mengzhou's intricate Autopuppets, used to contain Tacet Discord outbreaks around the city, and with helping found Jinzhou alongside its Sentinel, Jué. Her playful role in the origin story of the Moon-Chasing Festival also ties her to the closing chapter of the Mengzhou arc, which Hsin's release is expected to wrap up.

Electro attribute and version 3.7 debut

Two days after the initial reveal, Kuro confirmed further details through an official Resonator Preview: Hsin uses the Electro attribute and wields a Rectifier. Her full combat kit, including her skills and signature weapon, has not yet been revealed and is expected to arrive with Kuro's preview broadcast ahead of the patch. Hsin is expected to headline the Version 3.7 update alongside fellow Mengzhou Resonator Suoming, with the update likely landing shortly after Version 3.6 concludes on 30 September.
