Compact HMD Asha 305 Pro leaks with removable battery and four upgrades

HMD Global will soon be releasing a better-equipped Pro model to complement the Asha 305. The extremely reliable leaker @smashx_60 has already published two images and many details about the features of this HMD Asha 305 Pro. According to these, the design remains largely unchanged, aside from a new color variant called "Prist Pink."

The device looks like a smartphone from 2009, as HMD Global is reportedly using a 5-inch LCD display with particularly wide bezels at the top and bottom. The flat frame and camera module, on the other hand, were inspired by modern smartphones. The Pro model is expected to receive four main upgrades. First, a higher-resolution 5-megapixel main camera, which replaces the 2-megapixel camera. Second, the 2-megapixel selfie camera will be paired with an LED flash to enable better selfies in low-light conditions.

Third, the storage will be doubled to 32 GB, though HMD Global is expected to continue using a Unisoc T137 ARM chip and 2 GB of RAM. And fourth, the Pro model’s casing is reportedly IP52-certified, meaning it’s at least protected against water splashes. The HMD Asha 305 Pro is also said to feature a removable 2,500 mAh battery, Bluetooth 4.2, Wi-Fi, an LTE modem, and a 3.5 mm headphone jack. Running Pulse OS, the smartphone uses a simplified operating system that supports a range of popular apps, including WhatsApp, Instagram, TikTok, and Netflix.
