Waterproof gaming smartphone with two fans: Oukitel unveils WP600

Fans are basically a standard feature in high-end gaming smartphones nowadays. Since a fan can cool the processor more effectively, it generally improves performance significantly under sustained load. But while most models use only one fan, Oukitel has equipped the WP600 with two fans, each featuring RGB lighting, which are prominently displayed on the back of the smartphone.
The camera module also houses a 108-megapixel main camera, capable of recording 4K video, as well as an LED flash. With a yellow back panel featuring a small viewing window above the motherboard, the Oukitel WP600 could hardly look more eye-catching. While the smartphone isn’t particularly thin, it does offer a 10,000 mAh battery that can be charged via a USB-C cable at up to 45 watts. Despite the two fans, the case is IP69K-certified and therefore waterproof.
Gaming is handled by a MediaTek Dimensity 8300, which features four modern ARM Cortex-A715 performance cores with boost clock speeds of up to 3.35 GHz, as well as four Cortex-A510 efficiency cores. In addition, Oukitel includes up to 24 GB of LPDDR5X RAM and up to 1 TB of UFS 4.0 flash storage. The 6.8-inch display features a 1,080p+ resolution and a refresh rate of 120 Hz. Oukitel has not yet confirmed when or at what price the WP600 will be released.
