Vivo’s latest mid-range smartphone features an unusual design, a 7,050 mAh battery, and a 50-megapixel main camera for the equivalent of about 319 euros. The Vivo T5 5G is equipped with a 32 MP selfie camera capable of recording 4K videos.

The new Vivo T5 5G is positioned as a slightly more affordable alternative to the Vivo V70 FE 5G. The new model features a rather unconventional design – the display is rounded on the left and right sides, while the pill-shaped camera module is oriented horizontally. The approximately 8-millimeter-thick body is IP69-certified and therefore waterproof.

Vivo has equipped the phone with a 50-megapixel f/1.8 main camera based on a Sony IMX882 sensor in a 1/1.95-inch format. It also features an 8 MP f/2.2 ultra-wide-angle camera and a 32 MP f/2.0 selfie camera. Both the front camera and the main camera can record 4K video. This mid-range smartphone features a 6.83-inch AMOLED display with a resolution of 2,800 x 1,260 pixels, a refresh rate of 144 Hz, and a peak brightness of 2,000 nits across the entire screen area.

The Vivo T5 5G uses a MediaTek Dimensity 7500, paired with 6 GB to 12 GB of RAM and 128 GB to 256 GB of flash storage. The battery has a capacity of 7,050 mAh and is charged via a USB-C cable at a maximum of 44 watts. Dual-SIM support, Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.4, and an in-display fingerprint sensor round out the features. The Vivo T5 5G ships with Android 16, and Vivo guarantees at least three major operating system updates and five years of security patches.

Pricing and availability

The Vivo T5 5G will first launch in India. The base model with 6 GB of RAM and 128 GB of flash storage costs ₹34,999 ($369), while Vivo lists the top-of-the-line model with 12 GB of RAM and 256 GB of storage at ₹49,999 ($529).
