Apple iPhone 18 Pro (Max): Component leak reveals three colors, but no black

The Apple iPhone 18 Pro (Max) is expected to be officially unveiled during Apple’s major launch event on Wednesday, September 9. Sonny Dickson has already published a photo that allegedly shows the SIM card tray of the next-generation flagship smartphone in the colors Silver, Dark Cherry, and Sky Blue.
The latter two colors match an earlier leak, though this latest leak suggests an iPhone 18 Pro in silver rather than black. That wouldn’t be particularly surprising, given that the iPhone 17 Pro ($1,199 on Amazon) was available in silver, orange, and blue, but not in black. Sonny Dickson told MacRumors that he hasn’t been able to find any concrete evidence of a black variant over the past few months. It is therefore doubtful that the Apple iPhone 18 Pro and the iPhone 18 Pro Max will be available in black.
Aside from the color and a slightly smaller punch hole, the design of the iPhone 18 Pro is expected to remain largely unchanged. According to rumors, Apple is at least planning some hardware upgrades, ranging from the more powerful Apple A20 Pro ARM chip to a 48-megapixel main camera with a variable aperture and slightly larger batteries. All in all, however, rumors suggest that the iPhone 18 Pro will be a rather modest upgrade, before a model with a brand-new design is set to be unveiled next year to mark the 20th anniversary of the first Apple iPhone.
