Apple ‘Surprise and shine’ event date revealed

Apple has finally confirmed the date for its next iPhone event. Invites have been sent out to select media outlets, and this one will be particularly exciting as the Cupertino giant is expected to unveil its first foldable, tentatively dubbed iPhone Ultra. Two Pro iPhone models, new AirPods, Apple Watch models, and more products are expected as well.

The event is called ‘Surprise and shine,’ and will be livestreamed on September 9 starting at 10 am PT. Those interested will be able to watch it on Apple's website, YouTube, or via Apple TV. Of course, we will be covering the launch as well.

Previous iPhone launch events have had at least a base model and two Pro models, but this time, Apple plans to stagger the launch with just the Pro and Pro Max iPhone 18 unveiled this September. The base iPhone 18 will arrive early next year. However, even with the expected upgrades coming to the iPhone 18 Pro (Max), the foldable iPhone Ultra will be the center of attention.

Apple Watch Series 12, Apple Watch Ultra 4, and two AirPods 5 models are expected alongside the iPhones. There are a few other long-rumored products such as the smart home display, Apple TV 4K, and a new HomePod that may see an official announcement as well.
