Seiko's new 5 Sports Field x Honda Motocompo limited edition automatic now available to buy

Following its initial announcement last month, the Seiko 5 Sports Field x Honda Motocompo Limited Edition (reference HDB010K1) has officially hit retail shelves. Regional availability has been started on Seiko's official Singapore online storefront. Listed in stock at SG$599.50 (roughly $471 USD), the watch pays tribute to Honda’s retro foldable trunk scooter produced between 1981 and 1983.

The timepiece is based on Seiko's compact mid-size field platform, which measures 36.4 mm in diameter and is approximately 12.5 mm thick. The case is machined from stainless steel and finished in matte black with a matching black nylon pull-through strap that says "Carrying Point" on the loop.

The dial takes cues directly from the original yellow Motocompo — it has an electric yellow textured surface with bold Arabic numerals, Lumibrite-filled syringe hands, and a horizontal black center bar featuring the vintage Honda logo at 9 o'clock alongside a day-date window at 3 o'clock. A curved Hardlex crystal takes care of the dial, and the watch comes with standard field durability alongside 100 meters (10 bar) of water resistance and a push-pull crown.

It is powered by Seiko’s automatic caliber 4R36, visible through an exhibition case back. The movement operates at 21,600 vibrations per hour (3 Hz), supports manual winding and seconds hacking, and provides an approximate 41-hour power reserve.

Each of the 8,000 pieces is individually numbered on the case back and ships in a custom-themed presentation box. The Japanese company is expected to initiate broader regional rollouts across other international markets through September.
