Seiko's new fan-voted Prospex 1965 Heritage Diver features a stunning "Daytime Blue" wave dial
Hot on the heels of launching a Europe-exclusive limited edition Prospex diver in early August, Seiko has now announced another limited-run dive watch. Limited to 4,500 pieces worldwide and arriving in October, the new fan-voted Prospex 1965 Heritage Diver gives Seiko enthusiasts exactly what they asked for.
The HBC011 is the result of Seiko’s “1965 Diver New Model Voting Campaign,” which ran in July 2025 as part of the brand’s celebrations marking 60 years since its first dive watch. Fans were asked to choose between four dial designs inspired by the changing seascape scenes from sunrise to sunset. Options included Sunrise Orange, Daytime Blue, Late Afternoon Green, and Sunset Red. In the end, the Daytime Blue option, featuring a bright turquoise dial evoking the ocean shining under the midday sun, won the most votes.
The Prospex HBC011 is a handsome take on Seiko’s modern 1965 Heritage Diver, which itself is inspired by the original 62MAS. The 40mm stainless steel case measures 13mm thick and is paired with a curved sapphire crystal, a screw-down crown, a unidirectional bezel, and offers 300 meters of water resistance.
The wave-patterned dial isn’t unique to this particular model. It was first featured on the limited-edition SPB511, which launched in March 2025. The pattern itself is inspired by the wave mark that has appeared on the casebacks of Seiko dive watches since 1975.
Like the Europe-exclusive HBC010 and SPB511 Limited Edition, the new fan-selected diver is powered by Seiko’s 3-day power reserve Caliber 6R55, which offers manual winding and hacking seconds. The watch also comes on a stainless steel bracelet equipped with a new slide-adjust clasp. Pressing two buttons allows the wearer to adjust the bracelet by up to 15mm in six 2.5mm increments, which should come in handy when wrist size changes during the day or while diving.
The caseback features the wave pattern, “LIMITED EDITION” text, and an individual serial number.
