Seiko's new 5 Sports Field GMT watches are finally getting a global release

Seiko’s latest GMT-equipped 5 Sports Field watches have officially made their way to global markets following their initial launch in Japan last month. The travel-ready HDB001 and HDB002 models are now available in the UK, Australia, Singapore, and parts of Europe.
Both models are priced identically, but pricing varies slightly by region. In the UK, the series will retail for £410, while in select European markets it will go for €460. Pricing in Australia and Singapore is set at AUD $675 and SGD $618.10, respectively. The duo is expected to launch in the US as well, but we haven't spotted any listings on Seiko's US website just yet.
For the uninitiated, the new HDB001 and HDB002 arrive as more travel-friendly options within the 5 Sports Field lineup. Unlike the four Field models that launched earlier this year, the new arrivals swap the rotating compass bezel for a fixed 24-hour bezel and add a GMT hand to let you easily track a second time zone.
The HDB001 in particular features a forest green dial, while the HDB002 opts for a light cream hue, with both utilizing large Arabic numerals, generous LumiBrite coating on the hands and markers, and a bright orange GMT hand that keeps the dial easy to read at a glance. The stainless steel case measures 39.4mm in diameter, a step down from the 41mm case used on the HDB006, HDB007, HDB008, and HDB009.
The Seiko 5 Sports Field HDB001 and HDB002 are powered by Seiko’s in-house Caliber 4R34 automatic movement, delivering a 41-hour power reserve, a hacking seconds function, and a daily accuracy ranging from -35 to +45 seconds.
Finally, they feature a curved Hardlex crystal, a robust five-link stainless steel bracelet with a tri-fold clasp, a see-through screw-down caseback, and 100 meters of water resistance.
