Seiko's new Presage Cocktail Time watches surface in first IRL images with striking dials

When we covered the HCB001J, HCB002J, and HCB003J at launch last week, the press images gave us a decent sense of the dials. However, press images only tell part of the story. Fratello has now published the first real-world photographs of all three, and they're definitely worth a closer look.
The dials are the talking points, undoubtedly. All three feature a pronounced surface texture that catches light differently depending on the angle — something that simply doesn't translate in flat product photography. The brown HCB003J is the most striking up close: the macro shot reveals a dense, crosshatch-like texture across the dial surface, almost resembling aged wood grain or washi paper, and rose gold-tone indices and hands that warm the overall tone considerably. The blue HCB001J looks much more different on the wrist than in press renders — it's a deeper, more saturated teal in real light. The texture gives it a slightly organic, uneven quality that works well against the polished five-link bracelet. On the wrist, the 38.5 mm case should be fairly compact.
The green HCB002J on a tan leather strap is arguably the most photogenic of the three. The saturated emerald tone against the warm brown leather leads to a strong contrast, and the gold hands and indices lift the overall composition. The box Hardlex crystal does a decent job of keeping glare in check across all three, though it's visible in the side profile shot of the HCB001J.
The case back shot confirms the 4R35B caliber designation, with the movement finishing typical for this price tier. At ¥68,200 (~$421) for all three, that's expected.
All three remain Japan-market releases for now. Alternatively, you can check out the Seiko Presage SRPB41 on Amazon.
