Seiko launches new limited-edition Prospex automatic watches with 4R35 caliber
Seiko has just added two new colorways to its Asia-Pacific-exclusive Prospex lineup: the yellow-dialed HBB003 and orange-dialed HBB004. They are both limited to 2,500 pieces worldwide and excluded from Japan's own market. Seiko India's announcement frames the pair around a coastal resort theme, describing the duo as "capturing the shift from golden sunset to tranquil night", though it doesn't spell out which watch is meant to represent which moment.
Both watches share identical specs: a 41.7 x 12.3 x 49.5 mm stainless-steel case, the 4R35 automatic caliber, and 200 m of dive-rated water resistance under a black rotating bezel. The angular case and faceted bezel edge follow Seiko's Samurai design language closely — Seiko changed its reference system on March 1st, 2026, meaning newer references like this one no longer follow the older naming pattern collectors are used to. It's the same overhaul that gave the 145th-anniversary Samurai-based HBB001 its number.
Neither Seiko India nor @plus9time have listed pricing yet; the Instagram announcement says only that both references are "coming soon" to Seiko's regional e-store. We have at least one commenter on plus9time's post adding that the community's still waiting on a King Samurai version of the pair. It's a somewhat mild reminder that these dial colors, however vivid, sit within Seiko's mid-tier Samurai case rather than its larger King Diver line.
For now, the HBB003 and HBB004 are Asia-Pacific-only releases. There is no confirmation yet on whether either colorway will reach markets outside the region, including India despite the announcement coming from Seiko's own India account.
