Genshin Impact 7.0 adds a TPS mode and the Eye of Graeae in Snezhnaya

Genshin Impact Version 7.0, titled "Everwinter Without Mercy," launches globally on August 12. The update opens Snezhnaya, Teyvat's seventh nation, and skips Version 6.8 entirely, moving straight from 6.7 into 7.0.

A frozen, industrial Snezhnaya

Snezhnaya sits on Teyvat's northern edge and endures relentless cold and blizzards, powered by Kresnik energy. Its settlements are sparsely spread and connected by an extensive train network. Trains carry players across the frozen terrain to Snezhnograd, the capital and home to the Fatui headquarters, where the nation's technological and military strength is on display. Outside the city, players can explore untamed icefields, secluded villages watched over by Jack Frost, and scattered snowbound settlements.

The new Archon Quest explores a catastrophic blizzard, the resulting energy crisis, and the tensions between Snezhnaya's factions. Completing it awards up to 560 Primogems.

Players receive a new tool, the Eye of Graeae, which protects against the cold, summons trains, and creates Prime Ice Constructs for puzzle-solving and player interaction. Equipping it also unlocks a new third-person shooter mode, featuring a selection of firearms with modifiable attachments.

Combat adds Stellar Swirl, a new Stellar Glimmer reaction triggered by combining Anemo and Cryo.

Odette and free 4-star Alyosha

Odette is a 5-star Cryo sword wielder, a ballerina who dances with her sword while providing off-field Cryo support and boosting stellar reaction damage.

Alyosha is a 4-star Electro polearm wielder, a Snezhnayan hunter who fights alongside his dog, Tugarin, providing party healing and Stellar-Conduct buffs. Players can obtain Alyosha for free by progressing through the new Archon Quest.

Event wishes run in two phases. Phase 1 features Odette and Alyosha alongside a rerun for 5-star Pyro Polearm Arlecchino. Phase 2 brings reruns for the 5-star Hydro Bow, Flins, and the 5-star Electro Polearm, Ineffa.

Limited-time events

Snezhnaya-themed events include train racing, target shooting, and domain challenges, and offer a free invite for the4-star Cryo character Diona. The Miliastra Wonderland system also hosts a spooky summer tale event, rewarding an exclusive head accessory.
