Persona 5: The Phantom X Version 4.6 update adds Wavecatcher Miyu

Sega and Perfect World Games have deployed the Version 4.6 update for Persona 5: The Phantom X across PC, iOS, and Android. The update rolled out on July 30, 2026, and continues the game's seasonal storyline with new combat mechanics, quality of life changes, and a fresh character banner.

Wavecatcher Miyu debuts alongside summer event part 2

The headline addition is 5-Star Ice Sweeper Phantom Thief Wavecatcher Miyu, code name Puppet. She joins the Most Wanted Phantom Idol Contracts banner through August 13, 2026, timed with part two of the summer story arc, Haunted Beach Shack: Menacing Maw from the Murky Marine. Players can also work through the Bonus in a Bottle campaign, choosing a reward each from a Seashell Bottle and a Pearl Bottle, and a six-day cumulative login event granting up to seven Platinum Milicoins, both running through the same date.

Gameplay adjustments and quality of life updates

Version 4.6 adds a Life Sustainment feature to Devourer of Dreams in the Gates of the Nightmare Catcher mode. Toggling it on keeps a boss's health from dropping below 1 percent, letting players control exactly when weakened debuffs land without finishing the fight early.

The update also removes the story unlock requirements for the Realm of Repression under the Training Materials menu, so players can challenge Shadows in Recollections and farm upgrade resources without clearing the matching main story chapters first.

Duplicate 5-Star pulls now yield Crystal Cognigems once a unit has been drawn more than seven times, a new currency exchangeable for rewards at the Exchange Shop. Phantom Thieves featured in the current Phantom Idol Draft X grant four Crystal Cognigems per extra pull, while those outside it grant ten.

A limited-time Maid for the Beach capsule toy collection has also been added to display cases in Akihabara, available until September 24, 2026. Version 4.6 further introduces a new Bond side story featuring Ichigo Shikano, running through August 27, and kicks off a new Phantom Pass season with fresh seasonal missions through September 9.

The developers also confirmed that Limited 5-Star Weapons and Artisan's Mod Orders, previously announced for the Salamander Coin Exchange in Version 4.6, have been pushed back to a September update instead.
