JoJo's Bizarre Adventure: Golden Spirit locks August 13 launch date on mobile

KLab Games and Wanda Cinemas Games have confirmed that JoJo's Bizarre Adventure: Golden Spirit, developed by Hoolai Game Limited, will launch worldwide, excluding Japan, on August 13, 2026, for iOS and Android. The free-to-play strategy RPG marks the JoJo franchise's first mobile game to receive an official release outside Japan, drawing on characters, story arcs, and Stand abilities spanning Phantom Blood through Stone Ocean.
An English-language closed beta ran from May 15 to May 29 across the US, UK, Canada, and France, and pre-registration has since passed two million sign-ups, unlocking a free SR Joseph Joestar for players who sign up before launch.
Tactical auto-battling across generational storylines
Golden Spirit builds its campaign around recreating key anime confrontations using high-precision 3D models paired with Live2D character art. Players collect and upgrade R, SR, and SSR units spanning the first six parts of the series, assembling rosters that mix characters from across different eras of the story. Progression runs through stand awakening, skill enhancement, gear forging, and character ascension, giving players several systems to build out a squad. The game includes cinematic Stand awakening sequences and an original main theme composed by Yugo Kanno, credited by the publishers as the composer behind the Stardust Crusaders and The JoJoLands soundtracks.
Pillars of combat and dynamic battlefields
Combat replaces standard turn-based fighting with an 11-panel strategy grid built around tactical positioning. Two pillars shape each encounter: Wit, which governs matchup counterplay and exploiting enemy weaknesses, and combat, which governs skill synergies between paired characters. RUSH bursts trigger when players chain ultimate skills across three different battle styles, unleashing bonus damage and energy recovery. Matches take place across 18 dynamic battlefield environments, including sandstorms, rainfall, and heavy snow, with a real-time weather system that affects character stats and ability performance. A 360-degree free camera frames the action during Stand attacks, and additional modes include story-driven PvE stages, world boss battles, and ranked PvP.
The Google Play and App Store listing carries a 9+ age rating and lists in-app Astrogem purchases ranging from $0.99 to $99.99, alongside a 3.6GB download size. Pre-registration is live now on the Apple App Store and Google Play Store ahead of the August 13 rollout.
