My Hero Academia: United Survival release date confirmed for mobile and PC

KLab Inc., working with development partner gumi Inc., has confirmed that My Hero Academia: United Survival will launch worldwide on August 6, 2026. The free-to-play action title will be available on iOS, Android, and PC.

The launch date marks a significant acceleration from KLab's original plan. The game had previously carried a November 23, 2026 release window, and the studio moved the date up by more than three months to coincide with its pre-registration campaign hitting key milestones.

Ahead of launch, the title has surpassed 700,000 global pre-registrations, unlocking milestone rewards for players at launch, including in-game currency and character items.

A rogue-lite spin on the MHA universe

My Hero Academia: United Survival adapts the anime into a fast-paced, survivor-style action rogue-lite, drawing comparisons to genre staples like Vampire Survivors. Players build custom three-person squads from a roster of heroes and villains, including Izuku Midoriya (Deku), Katsuki Bakugo, Shoto Todoroki, Ochaco Uraraka, Tenya Iida, Tsuyu Asui, and Himiko Toga, and then take that squad into dynamic battlefields to face waves of enemies.

Key features and gameplay mechanics

Squad building sits at the center of the experience. Players combine heroes and villains into three-person teams, mixing complementary Quirks to unlock tactical synergies that suit different playstyles. Each run leans on rogue-lite progression, with players gaining experience during wave battles to unlock upgrades and strengthen their characters as they go, so no two runs play out quite the same way.

Combat rewards teamwork as much as individual power. Charging a shared gauge lets squads combine their Quirks into powerful ultimate attacks and finishing moves, turning coordinated play into the fastest way to clear a screen full of enemies. Beyond combat, the game layers in exclusive content not found elsewhere in the franchise, including original narrative arcs and equippable "Collections" depicting iconic anime scenes, which boost character abilities when equipped.

With a launch date now locked in and pre-registration numbers still climbing, My Hero Academia: United Survival is shaping up to be one of the more closely watched anime mobile releases of the year.
