Seiko adds four new mechanical models to its Prospex Speedtimer lineup

Seiko has expanded its Prospex Speedtimer range with four new mechanical models for 2026. It comes shortly after the Asia-Pacific-exclusive Prospex HBB003K1 and HBB004K1 and Prospex 1965 Heritage Diver were revealed a few days ago. The new HBD001, HBD002, HBC003 and HBC004 join the collection, and they are split between two automatic chronographs and two time-and-date models.

The Seiko HBD001 and HBD002 use a 42 mm stainless-steel case with Seiko's super-hard coating. They measure 14.6 mm thick, and are topped by a sapphire crystal. Water resistance is rated at 100 metres. The overall design follows the same general architecture as the SRQ047 and SRQ049 introduced in 2023, with styling inspired by Seiko's early-1970s Speedtimer chronographs.

Primary differences between the two SKUs lie in their dials and straps. The HBD001 gets a vertically textured sky-blue dial, contrasting black chronograph counters, and a steel bracelet, while the HBD002 switches to a warm silver dial with sky-blue counters and comes on a grey leather strap. Both are powered by Seiko's automatic 8R48 calibre, which uses a column wheel and vertical clutch and operates at 28,800 vibrations per hour. Power reserve is rated at 45 hours.

Meanwhile, the Seiko Prospex HBC003 and HBC004 are three-hand watches that retain the Speedtimer name and motorsport-inspired styling. Their stainless-steel cases are considerably smaller at 39.5 mm across and 12 mm thick, while water resistance increases to 200 metres. Both also feature sapphire crystal and an internal rotating bezel.

The Seiko Prospex HBC003 features a light-blue vertically brushed dial with orange accents and is paired with a steel bracelet, while the Prospex HBC004 uses a much darker grey dial with similar orange detailing and an embossed leather strap. Seiko's 6R55 automatic calibre powers it, running at 21,600 vibrations per hour and offering a longer 72-hour power reserve.

Pricing is set at €2,780 ($3,224) for the Seiko Prospex HBD001 and €2,680 ($3,108) for the Prospex HBD002. The Seiko Prospex HBC003 is slated to retail for €1,030 ($1,194), while the Prospex HBC004 is slightly cheaper at €1,000 ($1,159). All four SKUs are regular production models and can be bought starting September 2026.
