Seiko launches five new Lukia watches with rectangular cases and radio-controlled solar movements

Seiko has introduced five new regular-production watches for its Lukia Grow collection, shortly after unveiling the limited-edition HEG004J and HEE006J. The lineup includes three compact rectangular quartz models and two larger cask-shaped solar radio-controlled variants. All five are scheduled to go on sale in Japan on October 9, 2026, with no confirmed international release at the time of writing.
The Seiko Lukia Grow HEG001J, HEG002J and HEG003J are nearly identical, with each SKU using a 28.9 x 20 x 7.2 mm stainless steel case with a curved sapphire crystal, 10-bar water resistance and an onyx-set crown. Seiko says the new rectangular design was inspired by Hypericum berries, with curved Roman numerals and prominent 12 and 6 o'clock markers intended to emphasise the dial's vertical proportions.
All three watches are powered by Seiko's 4N30 battery-powered quartz calibre, which is rated to an average deviation of ±15 seconds per month. The primary differences between the three are purely cosmetic. The HEG001J and HEG002J come with multi-link metal bracelets, while HEG003J pairs its champagne-gold-coloured case with a black cowhide leather strap.
The Seiko Lukia Grow HEE005J and HEE006J feature a larger 37.4 x 24.6 x 7.7 mm titanium case. Both use mother-of-pearl dials with Roman numeral indices and blue hour and minute hands. HEE005J combines silver with Seiko's matte "Lady Gold" finish, while HEE006J cranks the gold aesthetic all the way up. Both also feature curved sapphire crystals, 10-bar water resistance and nickel-allergy-resistant construction.
Additionally, the HEE005J and HEE006J use Seiko's 1B32 solar radio-controlled calibre, which can synchronise using standard time signals transmitted in Japan, China, Germany and the US. When radio reception is unavailable, Seiko quotes accuracy of ±15 seconds per month. A full charge provides around six months of operation, or approximately 1.5 years with the power-saving function enabled. The calibre also supports automatic hand-position correction, time-zone adjustment and a full-auto calendar programmed through the end of 2099.
Pricing starts at ¥63,800 ($404) for the HEG001J. HEG002J and HEG003J are both priced at ¥67,100 ($425), while the titanium HEE005J and HEE006J cost ¥103,400 ($665) apiece. These five models are regular-production additions to the Lukia Grow catalogue and not a limited-run models, although
